AXIS#.HOME.OFFSETUSER

Description

This keyword allows the user to add an offset to the feedback after homing has been completed. This is intended to be used to compensate for home switches which may not be perfectly placed or misaligned with a gantry axis.

  • This keyword can be set before or after homing has been completed but WILL NOT be used until homing is complete. If homing is re-issued, this compensation is removed during homing and then re-applied after homing has been completed.

  • Once homing has been completed, this value takes effect immediately. If the axis is enabled, the axis will jump by the same amount this keyword changes as an instantaneous offset. Care should be taken when modifying this value. It is not intended to be used with large changes.

  • Once homing has been completed, this value takes effect immediately. If the axis is enabled, the axis will jump within a few milliseconds to make up the difference (e.g. from 5 to 10 will jump 5 units). Care should be taken when modifying this value as it is not intended to be used with large changes.
